Philatelic Anniversary
Celebrating seven decades of the world's most popular philatelic theme.
In 2026, the philatelic world celebrates a monumental milestone: Europa Stamps turns 70. Since the first issue in 1956, these stamps have served as a powerful symbol of European cooperation, cultural diversity, and shared history. What began as a project among six founding nations has grown into a prestigious annual tradition involving over 50 postal administrations.
The Europa stamp series remains one of the most collected themes globally. Each year, PostEurop selects a common theme—ranging from "National Birds" to "Underwater Flora & Fauna"—allowing each country to provide their unique artistic interpretation. The 70th anniversary highlights the enduring appeal of these miniature ambassadors of peace and integration.
