Luxembourg's first 3D-printed stamp is a unique philatelic souvenir sheet with a flexible, soft and pleasant-to-the-touch surface. Because of the materials used in the production of the block, there will exceptionally be no special cancellation for this issue.
What is 3D Printing for Stamps?
A liquid photopolymer is applied onto the stamp sheets in extremely fine droplets using high-precision nozzles, then cured under UV light before subsequent droplets are applied. The monogram is thus built up layer by layer at different heights — giving the stamp its tactile, three-dimensional character.
